Why he contributes: “Meredith Emerson was an outstanding French student at UGA; she tragically passed away in 2008. Meredith always spoke of her study abroad experience in France as one of the highlights of her UGA years. In her honor, our department initiated this award to help students who share her enthusiasm for French language and culture and are applying to study in a French-speaking country.”
