College Board report: More high schoolers take AP classes, tests

A new report from College Board shows a record number of high school students are taking advanced placement classes and AP tests, with over 1 million 2016 graduates taking an AP exam.

More than one in five graduating students in 2016 scored a 3 or higher on an AP exam, the minimum requirement for many colleges to accept the class for course credit. Over a third of students in Massachusetts, Maryland and Connecticut graduated with at least a 3 on one AP exam.
