C. Edward Watson, director of the UGA Center for Teaching and Learning, was quoted in a CNN.com article discussing the trend of free, open-source textbooks.
Watson, who pointed out the university’s efforts to introduce an OpenStax biology textbook as part of an online educational resource initiative, said traditional course materials have been known to contain errors.
